Who we are
Two Hands Dan is an indie games studio run by Dan. This policy covers how we handle your data on twohandsdan.com and in the games we publish. Questions? Email hi@twohandsdan.com.
What we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. Depending on how you use our sites and apps, we may collect:
- Basic analytics — page views, device type, and approximate region, aggregated only
- Email address — only if you sign up for release notifications
- Crash reports— for our iOS apps, via Apple's built-in diagnostics (you can disable this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements)
- In-app preferences — settings like haptic feedback on/off, stored locally on your device (never sent to us)
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera unless a specific game asks for permission and you grant it.
How we use your data
- Analytics help us see which games and pages people use. We look at aggregate numbers, not individual behavior.
- Email is used only to tell you when a new game ships. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Crash reportshelp us fix bugs you've run into.
- Local preferences are for your device, so the app remembers your settings between sessions.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers who help us run our sites and apps — for example:
- Vercel (website hosting)
- Apple (App Store distribution, crash reporting)
- Our email provider (if you subscribe to release notifications)
Each of these processes data under their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum required for them to do their job.
Your rights
You can:
- Unsubscribe from emails via the link in any message we send
- Ask us to delete the data we hold about you — email hi@twohandsdan.com
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
If you live in the EU/EEA or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR. If you live in California, you have rights under the CCPA. Reach out and we'll help you exercise them.
Cookies & tracking
Our website uses the minimum cookies needed to function, plus aggregate analytics if enabled. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Children's privacy
Our games are suitable for ages 4 and up. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above will reflect any change. Material updates will be called out on the homepage.
